Long, extremely dry periods of heat and occasional extreme precipitation pose major challenges for agriculture and especially for viticulture. Without strategic adjustments to viticultural methods, viticulture as such faces major problems, especially in southern Andalucia.\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-4-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">CHANGE<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-4-14\" class=\"sr7-layer\">\nVITICULTURE IN TIMES OF<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-6\" data-key=\"6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-6-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/8Z1A8472_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A8472_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-6-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">EXTREME<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-6-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">THE PROBLEM:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-6-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">Prolonged periods of heat dry out the soil. Subsequent extreme precipitation then leads to massive signs of erosion, since the rainwater can no longer seep into the ground fast enough.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-6-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">WEATHER<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-5\" data-key=\"5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-5-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_0490.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"WILLKOMMEN\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-5-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">WASTE<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-5-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">THE RESULT:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-5-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">This basic situation is exacerbated when the soil between the vines is kept bare and without vegetation and also might be biologically depleted by chemical fertilizers.\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-5-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">SOILS<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-10\" data-key=\"10\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-10-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/8Z1A8262_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A8262_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-10-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">QUALITY<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-10-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">NEW METHODS FOR<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-10-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">\nWe are therefore developing new methods to counteract this increasing problem, enabling us to continue producing quality vines despite the threatening climatic changes.\n\n\n\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-10-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">VITICULTURE<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-8\" data-key=\"8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-8-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/8Z1A8474_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A8474_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-8-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">BEAUTIFULLY<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-8-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">OUR VINEYARD:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-8-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">GREEN!<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-8-12\" class=\"sr7-layer\">For this purpose, we work with a thick green cover in winter and a constant, rolled out plant cover in summer, so that a permanent root penetration of the spaces between the vines revitalizes the soil, preserves the pore structure and protects the soil from direct sunlight.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-7\" data-key=\"7\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-7-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/A1266417.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"A1266417\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-7-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">ORGANIC<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-7-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">SOIL REVITILISATION THROUGH<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-7-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">To revitalize and aerate the soil, we use biochar and compost which we produce ourselves and supply the soil life with fermented liquids via underground, water-saving drip irrigation.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-7-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">COMPOST<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-3\" data-key=\"3\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-3-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/A1266475.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"WILLKOMMEN\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-3-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">SPECIAL<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-3-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">TERRACES AND<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-3-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">The terraces, which slow down the run-off of rainwater, are planted with special taproot grasses (vetiver) to quickly infiltrate rainfall into the soil and prevent erosion. In addition, a rainwater storage system with underground water retention basins is being created.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-3-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">GRASSES<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-12\" data-key=\"12\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-12-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/8Z1A7053_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A7053_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-12-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">STABLE ECOSYSTEM:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-12-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">To balance and stabilize the ecosystem of the vineyard, fruit trees and perennial herbs are planted between the vines. In addition to the greening of the vineyards, these measures of bio-diversification promote the proliferation of small animals and insects as well as microbial diversity, which strengthens the resistance of the vines to fungal and other diseases, thus eliminating the use of other plant protection measures or at least greatly reduces them.\n\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-12-89\" class=\"sr7-layer\">BIO-DIVERSITY <\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-2\" data-key=\"2\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-2-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/tim-mossholder-V0UvHFGSFGI-unsplash_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"tim-mossholder-V0UvHFGSFGI-unsplash_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-2-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">ROBUST <\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-2-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">THE GOAL:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-2-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">All of these measures promote a robust microclimate in the vineyard and create the best conditions for producing high wine quality. The whole project is designed to develop and demonstrate the prerequisites for quality viticulture in times of climate change in southern Spain, in an environmentally friendly manner.\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-2-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">MICROKLIMATE<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-9\" data-key=\"9\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-9-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/8Z1A7278_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A7278_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-9-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">OUR WINE<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-9-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-9-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">Our wine matures in clay amphorae according to ancient tradition, because we want to prevent it from absorbing foreign flavors. Using amphorae as a form of storage for our wines also enables the best temperature equalization and oxygen supply. Unfortunately, due to the long aging period in the cellar, it takes time for our wines to be ready for the market.\n\n\n\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_1-11\" data-key=\"11\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_1-11-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/8Z1A8376-WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A8376-WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-11-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">NATURAL WINES<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_1-11-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">In order to prove the success of the interaction of the new methods of sustainable viticulture in high biodiversity, we vinify our wines in a purely natural way and without additives. Long, extremely dry periods of heat and occasional extreme precipitation pose major challenges for agriculture and especially for viticulture. Subsequent extreme precipitation then leads to massive signs of erosion, since the rainwater can no longer seep into the ground fast enough.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-6-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">WEATHER<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_2-5\" data-key=\"5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_2-5-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_0490.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"WILLKOMMEN\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-5-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">WASTE<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-5-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">THE RESULT:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-5-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">This basic situation is exacerbated when the soil between the vines is kept bare and without vegetation and also might be biologically depleted by chemical fertilizers.\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-5-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">SOILS<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_2-10\" data-key=\"10\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_2-10-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/8Z1A8262_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A8262_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-10-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">QUALITY<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-10-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">NEW METHODS FOR<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-10-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">\nWe are therefore developing new methods to counteract this increasing problem, enabling us to continue producing quality vines despite the threatening climatic changes.\n\n\n\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-10-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">VITICULTURE<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_2-8\" data-key=\"8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_2-8-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/8Z1A8474_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A8474_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-8-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">BEAUTIFULLY<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-8-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">OUR VINEYARD:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-8-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">GREEN!<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-8-12\" class=\"sr7-layer\">For this purpose, we work with a thick green cover in winter and a constant, rolled out plant cover in summer, so that a permanent root penetration of the spaces between the vines revitalizes the soil, preserves the pore structure and protects the soil from direct sunlight.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_2-7\" data-key=\"7\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_2-7-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/A1266417.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"A1266417\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-7-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">ORGANIC<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-7-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">SOIL REVITILISATION THROUGH<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-7-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">To revitalize and aerate the soil, we use biochar and compost which we produce ourselves and supply the soil life with fermented liquids via underground, water-saving drip irrigation.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-7-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">COMPOST<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_2-3\" data-key=\"3\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_2-3-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/A1266475.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"WILLKOMMEN\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-3-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">SPECIAL<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-3-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">TERRACES AND<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-3-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">The terraces, which slow down the run-off of rainwater, are planted with special taproot grasses (vetiver) to quickly infiltrate rainfall into the soil and prevent erosion. In addition, a rainwater storage system with underground water retention basins is being created.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-3-10\" class=\"sr7-layer\">GRASSES<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_2-12\" data-key=\"12\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_2-12-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/8Z1A7053_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"8Z1A7053_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-12-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">STABLE ECOSYSTEM:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-12-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">To balance and stabilize the ecosystem of the vineyard, fruit trees and perennial herbs are planted between the vines. In addition to the greening of the vineyards, these measures of bio-diversification promote the proliferation of small animals and insects as well as microbial diversity, which strengthens the resistance of the vines to fungal and other diseases, thus eliminating the use of other plant protection measures or at least greatly reduces them.\n\n<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-12-89\" class=\"sr7-layer\">BIO-DIVERSITY <\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_2_2-2\" data-key=\"2\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_2_2-2-slidebg\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/haciendalosarcos.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/tim-mossholder-V0UvHFGSFGI-unsplash_WEB.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"tim-mossholder-V0UvHFGSFGI-unsplash_WEB\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-2-1\" class=\"sr7-layer\">ROBUST <\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-2-4\" class=\"sr7-layer\">THE GOAL:<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_2_2-2-7\" class=\"sr7-layer\">All of these measures promote a robust microclimate in the vineyard and create the best conditions for producing high wine quality. Using amphorae as a form of storage for our wines also enables the best temperature equalization and oxygen supply.
